Standing In Truth

For about a week or so I was swamped in blue feelings and I didn't understand why. During that time I noticed some disheartening constants in my life that I guess I already knew but hadn't really come to grips with.

After about a week of this the vodous reminded me of my charmed existence and highlighted my many blessings ending the emotional field trip.

They sent a woman of great spiritual power to me who was compelled to relate to me a fraction of her story that she was not keen on telling others. At the end of it all it came together for me.

We are not here for ourselves. We are not even here for the vodous. We are here for eachother. Those with great spiritual power are called to give and that call will manifest throughout every facet of our lives. We will be drawn to dark and unsavory places and people because that's where the healing is needed.

If we stand in our truth, whether we've articulated them or not, then we will cleanse, heal, and sustain those people, places, things, ideas, and events around us that need it.

When we forget this, when we close our hands and hearts to ask "Where's mine?!", this is when the healer needs healing. We taint ourselves with perversions, corrupting hunger into greed, love into possession, and interdependence into codependency.

It is moments like this when we draw nearer to the Spirits that guide our lives or pull further away. So watch, be vigilant, listen and remember what your Spirits have told you is right. Do not waver in your commitment to life, purity, and justice and the vodous will guide your every step.
