Vodou Yi To

Alafia! This is the time of the year when all of the Spirits of Water and Soul go to a great meeting under the sea. During this time, the vodous will be away determining how to manifest God's Will and how each one of us will play our part in it.

One must be careful during this time because the vodous will not be with us and only our taboos and good character will offer any protection from malicious intent and evil powers, but fret not. Age, the Hunter of Many Forms, will visit us all everyday to protect those that are observant, test us all, and report our conduct to our Tadji Vodou and Ese to impact our fortunes for the year.

Everyday you should put aside a small offering to be offered to the vodous on Wezolo, the Vodous' Return, in July! They love Gin, Schnapps, Cola, Kola nuts, fruits and especially animal sacrifices. Set aside these things to be offered to the vodous when They return.
