Often mischaracterized as the "Vodou of Slavery", MAMA TCHAMBA is the bridge between the lost and found.

MAMA TCHAMBA is the Healer between Parent and Child and the reconciler between the Conqueror and the Vanquished. She ends bloodshed when the wise chooses Justice over Revenge.
"The Master will add to his Slave's wages a portion of his estate. The Slave will be wealthier than the Master."
This sentiment is especially relevant because MAMA TCHAMBA is the God of the Amekplekple, the Bought Person. On its face that may seem to be exactly what a slave is, but you would be mistaken.
The amekplekple is the victim of calamity whose survival depends on the sufferance of another. Yes, that would be the war prisoner, the criminal, and the slave. It would also be the orphan, the sole survivor, and the exiled.
Anytime a person is cut off from their people or has taken the ownership of a life cut off from its people, it is MAMA TCHAMBA who cares for and keeps the lesser and chastises the greater.
MAMA TCHAMBA uses ties of blood and fate between the debtor and the indebted to shatter the ferrous darkness of calamity and bring wealth and healing to who rises pure from Her tests. For who rejects Her remedies the blood of the stranger will run like molten bronze through the streets and kinsmen will mortgage each other's lives and souls for less than Judas' Bargain.
